Manchester United Transfer News – Harry Kane is no longer a viable option for Erik ten Hag
The Guardian is reporting that Manchester United have cut ties on their interest in Tottenham Hotspur’s Harry Kane. The club believes that the fee wanted by Spurs’ Daniel Levy is unrealistic and thus has put a stop to their pursuit of England’s number nine. The Guardian further report that while Napoli’s Victor Osimhen still remains an option, the price for him as well is a significant obstacle. The most recent Scudetto winners could demand £130M for Osimhen. Atalanta’s Rasmus Hojlund is also an option at striker that remains for Manchester United. Harry Kane’s current contract expires next summer, so the Red Devils could always circle back next year.
Manchester United Transfer News – Bayern Munich enters the race for defensive target Kim Min-Jae
According to FootMercato, Bayern Munich has launched itself into the race to sign Napoli’s Kim Min-Jae. As reported by The Top Flight, Manchester United is seriously interested in signing the Korean defender, but personal talks have stalled between the player and the club. Additionally, contract talks between Min-Jae and Napoli have also stalled as the Italian side fights to remove the release clause from his contract. Bayern views Kim Min-Jae as a replacement for the departing Lucas Hernandez, who is expected to join PSG. United may have to prepare for a bidding war, with Newcastle and Chelsea also watching on.
Manchester United Transfer News – Ethan Laird has contract extension option activated
Manchester Evening News [MEN] has revealed that Ethan Laird’s extension option has been exercised. This is not exactly revelating news as the defender was out of contract at the end of this month. The extension buys the club and player time to potentially agree to a new contract and loan the fullback out again. Laird spent last season on loan at Queens Park Rangers in the Championship, and MEN report that Laird is seeking first-team minutes with United. It is also believed that the club will listen to permanent offers for Laird should they come in.
