According to information from Tutto Mercato, Igor, the Fiorentina central defender, would be very close to heading to England. In British territory, both Fulham and Leicester City are pursuing the signing of the Brazilian.

The London team seems to be the best positioned to take Igor, even, according to the journalist Lorenzo Lepore, the Cottagers have already met with the player’s entourage and are about to make an offer in the coming days. Likewise, Villarreal is probing the defender as a possible substitute for a hypothetical departure of Pau Torres.

Among the priorities of the club led by Marco Silva is renewing its defense. Fulham defends in very risky ways, and their wide central defenders perform really essential tasks when it comes to getting out with the ball. With Tim Ream’s injury and how unstable it can be to have only two starters in the zone (Tosin and Diop), Igor is an excellent option to boost the team’s defensive structure.

Igor, a market opportunity that Fulham is pursuing

Igor is a capable player with and without the ball, especially in reading spaces. The Brazilian knows how to take advantage of possession of the ball with a proactive style and enough for an upper-middle-class team in the Premier League.

In this order of ideas, Fulham could get an ideal name for its structure, with room for improvement and the addition of a variable that must form part of the contributions in order to remain in the first division.

Close to leaving Serie A, Igor is a significant market opportunity for the style of center-back that he is. Pending to see how Fulham’s transfer market develops, it is clear that such a defender is needed at Craven Cottage, and the Brazilian could do very well there. It would be the perfect fit.
