With the summer transfer window just around the corner, Erik ten Hag has been hard at work planning his best strategy for Manchester United. Not just focusing on signings, he’s compiled a shortlist of players he wishes to sell.

Manchester United will sell EIGHT players in summer

According to The Mirror, Erik ten Hag will sell the following players:

Harry Maguire

Perhaps the biggest surprise on the list. Harry Maguire, Manchester United’s captain, will be sold to make room for other defenders. Kim Min-Jae of Napoli is the most likely to replace the Englishman.

Anthony Martial

The teenager who signed with plenty of potential which he arguably hasn’t quite lived up to. All in all he was a good signing for United and has developed adequately, but didn’t justify being the most expensive teenager at the time. Now, ageing at 27 years old, he’ll spend his finest years elsewhere.

Fred

Unfortunately for Fred, his last game in a Manchester United shirt was a bitter defeat in an FA Cup final to City. Having gone through periods of good and bad form, he’s leaving United at the right time.

Scott McTominay

The 26-year-old is a real fan favourite and has proven to be a big-game player. Encompassing everything it takes to be a Manchester United player, McTominay is ready to conquer a new club.

Dean Henderson

Given United’s interest in Diogo Costa, this doesn’t surprise me. Dean Henderson was a success at Nottingham Forest, so this is where he’ll likely sign permanently.

Alex Telles

I’ll be honest, forgot he even played for United. Returning from a loan spell at Sevilla, he has no future at Old Trafford.

Eric Bailly

Again, Eric Bailly is returning from loan so this won’t feel like a big loss to United. However, Bailly did have some great moments in a United shirt.

Brandon Williams

The 22-year-old is surplus to requirements, so United deem it best to sell him to make sure he can get game time elsewhere.
