After the sale of Karim Benzema seems to be in motion, Real Madrid are not holding back in their pursuit to replace his goal-scoring prowess. They would like to steal not one but TWO London clubs of their top goal-scorers – Chelsea and Spurs.

That’s right. According to Marca, Real Madrid will make contact with Spurs about signing Harry Kane and are likely to bid £100m to sign him (Daily Mail). Further, Bild has claimed that Real Madrid are on their way to completing a “mega-deal” to sign Kai Havertz from Chelsea.

Spurs will not want to lose Harry Kane to Real Madrid

Say what you’d like about Spurs and the way the club is run, you cannot fault their strictness when dealing with interest from other clubs. Daniel Levy has a stiff upper lip and will never be bullied into selling his best players for less than he feels they’re worth. This is largely why Spurs still have Kane to this day.

Although, what works in Real Madrid’s favour is that Harry Kane is entering the final year of his contract and with Spurs in dire need of a rebuild, the money they receive from selling Kane could prove to be invaluable to Daniel Levy and co.

Although, Los Blancos are definitely going to need to bid more than £100m – that offer seems insulting in this market for a striker of Kane’s abilities. Also, they will face competition from financial superpower Manchester United.

Chelsea may be more inclined to sell Kai Havertz

Despite Kai Havertz being the top goal-scorer for Chelsea, this wasn’t exactly a hard-feat to achieve last season, was it? Chelsea were woeful and their financial situation is even worse. Therefore, they need to sell players this summer to balance the books and are likely to jump at any chance they get.
