Chelsea transfer news – Dusan Vlahovic changes mind on Chelsea

Previous reports had indicated that Chelsea didn’t stand a chance to sign Dusan Vlahovic, currently playing for Juventus. This is because the Serbia international wanted to play in the Champions League, something the Blues could not offer to him.

However, according to GIVEMESPORT, Dusan Vlahovic is now open to joining Chelsea because he likes the destination and the direction which the club could head under Mauricio Pochettino. Still, the Blues are considering other options such as Harry Kane and Victor Osimhen so nothing is set in stone.

Chelsea transfer news – Mateo Kovacic has played his final game

As Chelsea played their final game in a season to forget, Mateo Kovacic was a used substitute who came off the bench during the 1-1 draw with Newcastle. However, this might have been his last performance for the Blues. According to GIVEMESPORT, Kovacic is very likely to leave Chelsea this summer.

Chelsea transfer news – Pochettino will meet Manuel Ugarte’s release clause

Perhaps the biggest piece of news coming out for Chelsea today is in regard to their pursuit of Manuel Ugarte. They are heavily linked with a move for the Sporting CP midfielder, who is also of interest to Newcastle. According to HITC, Mauricio Pochettino has personally told the club they must sign Ugarte, despite the interest from Liverpool.

Furthermore, O Jogo reports (via Football Talk), that Chelsea are ready to meet the £52m release clause which is embedded into Ugarte’s contract. Should this release clause be activated, then the competition from Liverpool becomes redundant in scope.
