Arsenal have a lot of pondering to do, with their season of ups and downs coming to an end tomorrow. They will finish second in the Premier League, but for the longest time it seemed that they would finish first. Now, they must reassess and think how they can transform their squad to push Manchester City further next season.

We reported the other day that the Gunners planned to sign five players and sell eight, but some would argue that this isn’t enough. They need to make wholesale changes, and there are some players out on loan who just won’t cut it.

One of those players who is due to return from loan is Nuno Tavares. Currently out on loan at Marseille, he’s somewhat impressed during his loan spell. However, he’s proven time and time again that he cannot perform to the same level under Mikel Arteta’s tactics. Therefore, it’s likely he’ll be one of the players sold this summer.

West Ham United want to sign Nuno Tavares from Arsenal

With West Ham United eyeing a new full-back, they could take advantage of this situation. According to the Portuguese outlet Record, West Ham wants to take Tavares away from Arsenal, with the North London club likely to appreciate this deal.

Tavares is by no means a bad player. He’s just not a Mikel Arteta player. With David Moyes taking West Ham all the way to the Europa Conference Final, it shows how his man-management approach is capable of taking clubs like West Ham to new heights.

Throughout his career, Moyes has shown the ability to rocket players to new heights. Working under an experienced manager like Moyes could be exactly what Tavares needs to make a name for himself in England. All in all, this move would benefit all parties involved.
