Arsenal transfer news – Granit Xhaka “deal (to leave) almost agreed”

Granit Xhaka could be the latest Arsenal player to leave the club and it’ll be the saddest departure in some time. According to Fabrizio Romano (via HITC), Granit Xhaka is entering the final stages of negotiations to leave Arsenal, with the deal almost agreed. With that in mind, Arsenal fans can essentially treat tomorrow’s match against Wolves as Xhaka’s farewell game.

Arsenal transfer news – Arsenal will bid for Declan Rice in June

Fabrizio Romano has provided a more positive update in the midfield position for Arsenal. According to the transfer expert, Arsenal plan to open bidding for Declan Rice in June. This is likely because they are respectful of West Ham’s preparation for the Europa Conference League final.

However, Romano has reinstated that other clubs are interested, so the timing of Arsenal’s opening offer will be crucial – they won’t want to wait too long, essentially.

Arsenal transfer news – Manchester City want €40m for Joao Cancelo

We reported the other day that Arsenal would like to sign Manchester City duo Joao Cancelo and Ilkay Gundogan, replicating the deal they made for Zinchenko and Jesus last summer. Gundogan is a free agent, but Cancelo will set Arsenal back around €40m (£35m).

This is a reasonable price for a player of Cancelo’s quality – The reason why Manchester City want to sell is not because of his talent but because he doesn’t get on well with Pep Guardiola.
