Brighton transfer news – Brighton makes an offer for Luís Semedo

According to Foot Mercato, Brighton made an offer of a four-year contract to Benfica’s young promise Luís Semedo. The 19-year-old caught the attention of clubs abroad especially on the Youth Team, winning the 2022 Youth League with Benfica and representing Portugal at the U20 level. This season, he contributed with 2 goals and 1 assist in 17 appearances for Benfica B. The contract between Semedo and Benfica is close to expiring by the end of the season.

Levi Colwill was interviewed by The Athletic and revealed that he is considering continuing his career at Brighton after a year on loan from Chelsea. “Brighton has done a lot for me. They put their trust in me when others didn’t and I’m a person that loves to repay that. We’ll see”, said the number 6. Roberto De Zerbi also made clear that he wanted to work more with Colwill, “because it’s difficult to find another left center-back with his quality.”
