Brighton transfer news – Liverpool close in on Alexis Mac Allister
There isn’t much that Brighton can do with Alexis Mac Allister. In a dream world they would prefer to keep him, obviously, but the player has made his mind up. He is ready for a step up in his career and with a release clause already inserted into his contract, the Seagulls must accept fate.
According to transfer guru Fabrizio Romano, Liverpool are planning to act fast to trigger a clause in the World Cup winner’s contract. There is a release clause, but it must be activated in June to be redeemable. Therefore, this would allow Brighton plenty of time to find a replacement.
Brighton transfer news – Door opened for Davide Frattesi
A goal-scoring midfielder who Brighton would like to sign is Davide Fratessi. His name has cropped up a lot over the last couple of days, with Roberto De Zerbi clearly a big fan of the Italian player.
According to CalcioMercato, Sassuolo have opened the door for the player to leave. The report also claims that Brighton are prepared to go all out to sign him.
Brighton transfer news – Maybe Roberto De Zerbi doesn’t want him?
The pursuit of Davide Fratessi is a weird one as there have been conflicting reports today. Although he is thought to be a target of De Zerbi’s, with all parties keen to make the move happen, HITC has claimed that Roberto De Zerbi doesn’t actually want to sign Fratessi, since they need a midfielder of a different mould. This would allow West Ham or Spurs the opportunity to sign him instead.
