Manchester City’s dominance in the Premier League continues, as they lifted the trophy for the third consecutive time on Sunday. Admittedly, they were largely helped by Arsenal slipping up towards the end, something that a lot of people predicted to happen but Arsenal fans just couldn’t see it until it happened before their eyes.
In fairness to Arsenal, they were exceptional. For a large part of the season, they were the best team in England, perhaps even the world. But they let their guard down when it mattered the most, which might be a testament to their biggest strength – naivety.
This Arsenal squad is inexperienced. Yes, they signed some players who have experience in the title race, but overall, they had never done it as a collective before. I’m sure that next season, with the same group of players and some top quality additions, the Gunners will mount a closer title charge.

One team who knows exactly what it takes to win, though, is Manchester City. They have a squad full of players who want to win and most of the players they possess are world-class. But none more so than the exceptionally talented Belgian maestro Kevin De Bruyne.
Speaking out about his side’s title triumph, Kevin De Bruyne paid tribute to Arsenal, claiming that they were incredible, particularly in the first half of the season. However, the Belgian was quick to remind fans that it was his side who ultimately deserved it in the end, according to The Boot Room.
"“The league doesn’t lie – we were the best,Arsenal were incredible – especially in the first part of the season. In the end though we deserve it, we came back, and we’ve won a lot of games” – Kevin De Bruyne (via The Boot Room)"
