Liverpool Transfer News – Liverpool are admirers of Crystal Palace’s Marc Guehi

According to Simon Jones of the Daily Mail, Liverpool has interest in centre-back Marc Guehi. This news coincides with The Times’ Paul Joyce stating that Jurgen Klopp wants defensive reinforcements this summer alongside an expected midfield overhaul. It is believed that Arsenal, Manchester United, and Tottenham are also keeping tabs on the England international. Simon Jones states that it would likely take a deal worth as expensive as £50M for Crystal Palace to let go of Guehi.

Marc Guehi is a Chelsea academy product and they hold a future sell-on percentage for the defender. Guehi had spent a season and a half out on loan at Swansea City before being bought by Crystal Palace in 2021.

Liverpool Transfer News – Liverpool target Mason Mount unlikely to re-sign at Chelsea

It has been widely reported that Mason Mount is a target of Liverpool and they’ve now been handed a transfer boost. As reported by Fabrizio Romano, it is going to be ‘very difficult’ and ‘really complicated’ for Mason Mount to re-sign with Chelsea. Liverpool is expected to face competition from Arsenal and Manchester United for the signature of Mason Mount, according to David Ornstein. Mason Mount has just a little over a year left on his current contract and looks set to leave Stamford Bridge.

Liverpool Transfer News – Loaned out midfielder yet to ponder on his Liverpool future

Leighton Clarkson who is currently on loan at Scottish side Aberdeen was recently asked about his future (source):

"“I just want to get the club into Europe and after that I can start seeing where my future lies”.“I have enjoyed every minute of being up here. We will see what happens.”"

Aberdeen is more than interested in bringing back the midfielder but those discussions will likely not start until the summer.
