Arsenal transfer news – West Ham seek Declan Rice replacement

West Ham United have been active in the transfer market recently and it appears they’ve located their ideal replacement for Declan Rice, with Arsenal interested in signing the Englishman.

Ironically, Arsenal fans will know West Ham’s target very well. The Top Flight reported earlier that West Ham wanted to sign Matteo Guendouzi. Should the Hammers be successful in signing Guendouzi, it would open the door further for Arteta to swoop in and sign Rice.

Arsenal transfer news – Mikel Arteta rivals Chelsea for Wilfried Zaha

According to the latest report from Football Insider, Arsenal are preparing an offer to lure Wilfried Zaha from Crystal Palace to the Emirates Stadium. Zaha’s contract runs out this summer, meaning there is just a salary to compete for.

Chelsea are also interested in signing Zaha, as we reported yesterday. However, given that one of Todd Boehly’s aims this summer is to balance the books by reducing the wage bill, this may give Arsenal the upper hand in negotiations.

Arsenal transfer news – Three Bundesliga clubs line up for Granit Xhaka

One player who may be on his way out this summer is Granit Xhaka, which would be a real shame for fans. He turned from the most hated player at the club to one of the most loved, given his immense passion for the club and development under Mikel Arteta.

However, he’s attracting interest from Bundesliga which may be hard for Arteta to ignore. According to 90min, Borussia Dortmund, Borussia Monchengladbach (Xhaka’s old club) and Bayer Leverkusen are all interested in signing Xhaka and will compete for him this summer, with the Swiss international stalling on contract talks.
