Liverpool Transfer News – Liverpool could ‘reignite’ their interest in Napoli midfielder Piotr Zielinski

According to Polish journalist Wojciech Piela via LFC Transfer Room, Liverpool could swoop in for Piotr Zielinski with the player’s contract expiring in 2024. Napoli would like to re-sign Zielinski but only at a lower salary. Jurgen Klopp was apparently an admirer of the player when he was with Serie A side Empoli, prior to joining Napoli. Lazio is reportedly also interested in signing Zielinski as Maurizio Sarri formerly coached the Polish international at Napoli.

Liverpool Transfer News – Manchester United leads race to sign Kim Min-Jae amid Liverpool and City interest

According to Footmercato’s Santi Aouna and Sebastian Denis, Manchester United has held talks with Napoli defender Kim Min-Jae. United have laid out their project in the proposal and will push talks further in the coming weeks. Kim Min-Jae is also admired by Liverpool. It was revealed earlier this month by Footmercato that Min-Jae’s entourage has held internal discussions about a potential move to the Reds. Kim Min-Jae has become arguably the best defender in Serie A and was crucial to Napoli’s scudetto.

As reported by The Top Flight, there are rumours circulating that Manchester City is also interested in the South Korean international.

Liverpool Transfer News – Liverpool could make an ‘underwhelming’ move for Southampton’s Duje Caleta-Car

As speculated by The Athletic’s James Pearce on the Walk On podcast, Duje Caleta-Car is a possibility for Liverpool. It should be noted that there is no significant interest in the player at this moment in time but they have scouted Caleta-Car in the past. Caleta-Car has not been a regular starter for Southampton and with the club on the brink of relegation, a move for the Croatian international seems like a poor choice.
