Arsenal transfer news – Mikel Arteta wants to sign Joao Cancelo

According to the latest report from 90min, Arsenal have joined a growing list of clubs interested in signing Joao Cancelo. The Manchester City who is currently out on loan at Bayern Munich, is due a move away this summer since he doesn’t fit in at either his loaned club or parent club.

Joao Cancelo, before the bizarre move away to Bayern, was considered one of, if not the best full-back in the Premier League. His attacking input is immense and he also has the defensive ability to play as a centre back or part of a back three. Therefore, he would’ve been the ideal January addition to Arsenal as they would’ve avoided feeling the wrath of Saliba’s injury.

Out with the old, in with the… Old?

After reporting that Manchester City will part ways with Joao Cancelo this summer, they’re looking to bring in a player who the fans know well. Romeo Lavia, who never made his debut at the Etihad Stadium, is subject to a move back to Manchester after impressing with Southampton.

According to HITC, Manchester City have a clause which allows them to buy-back Lavia, but that can only be activated next summer. It’s thought that the Citizens want to accelerate their pursuit of their former youngster, stopping any interest from Arsenal or Liverpool.

Arsenal transfer news – Gunners backed for Declan Rice and Moises Caicedo swoop

According to Sky Sports reporter Dharmesh Sheth (via The Boot Room), Arsenal have “every chance” of signing BOTH  Declan Rice and Moises Caicedo. Failing that, they will definitely try to sign at least one.
