Liverpool Transfer News – Liverpool expected to send a proposal for Manuel Ugarte
According to a recent paper from Ojogo (via Sport Witness), Sporting CP is looking to buy out the 20% sell-on clause that Uruguayan side Fenix has for Manuel Ugarte. These discussions are happening amid the belief offers will arrive for the player. Ojogo state that Liverpool is among the clubs expected to send an offer to Sporting’s way in the near future. Contracts talk between Sporting and Ugarte have come to a halt as interest from abroad has continually risen.
The defensive midfielder featured at the World Cup for Uruguay and has been at Sporting CP since 2021.
Liverpool Transfer News – Premier League clubs expected to battle for Caoimhin Kelleher
Per the Irish Independent, Brentford, Tottenham, and Brighton are all admirers of Caoihmin Kelleher and could make a move for the keeper. Brentford’s interest stems from the possibility that first-choice keeper David Raya could leave this summer. For Tottenham, Forster and Lloris are both fairly old and Tottenham needs to identify someone for the future. Brighton may look to bring in a new number one under Roberto De Zerbi, especially with Robert Sanchez losing his position to long-time backup Jason Steele.
It is believed that Liverpool could let Kelleher leave for around £20M.
Liverpool Transfer News – Sepp van den Berg open to stay at Schalke
In a recent talk with the German paper WAZ, Sepp van den Berg spoke about his future at the Bundesliga club. He states that he is open to staying at Schalke and that playing in the Bundesliga has been a great opportunity for him. According to WAZ, Schalke is keen to sign van den Berg permanently but may have to opt for another loan-in. van den Berg joined Liverpool in 2019 from Dutch side PEC Zwolle but at just 21 has yet to feature for the Reds in Premier League action. His contract runs with Liverpool until 2024 so should he go back out on loan, a new contract would likely be in place.
