Chelsea transfer news – Mauricio Pochettino’s 3 summer transfers

According to the Evening Standard, Chelsea have summarised their 3 priorities this summer as signing a new goalkeeper, midfielder and striker. Names included in this shortlist are Victor Osimhen (more on him below), Andre Onana, Gregor Kobel and David Raya. So, one striker and three goalkeepers – I’m sure we’ll hear more in the coming days about the shortlisted midfielders.

Chelsea transfer news  – Manchester United drop interest in Victor Osimhen

Speaking of the talisman Victor Osimhen, the Blues have received a big boost when it comes to the potential signing. Their main competitors Manchester United are thought to have cooled their interest, according to Sky Sports Germany.

It’s thought that United are now more interested in signing Randal Kolo Muani, leaving the door open for Chelsea to sign Osimhen should they wish.

Chelsea transfer news – Joe Cole wants Chelsea to sign Declan Rice

I mentioned earlier that Chelsea are yet to formally summarise their midfield shortlist. However, I’m certain that Declan Rice will at least be part of the conversation. Linked with a move away from West Ham this summer, Chelsea may rival London rivals Arsenal to sign him.

They’ve been given the nod of approval by club legend Joe Cole, who would like to see Rice partner Enzo Fernandez next season.

Chelsea transfer news – Talks opened with Romeo Lavia

According to Football Insider, Chelsea have already opened talks with their 19-year-old transfer target Romeo Lavia, currently of Southampton. With the Saints due to be relegated unless they perform a miracle, the 19-year-old wants to remain in the Premier League next season.
