Liverpool injury news vs Fulham: Big blow as best in-form attacker doubtful
By Kian Long
Liverpool come up against Fulham in just over three hours and it’s a race against time for one of their best players at the moment. According to Liverpool injury news from This is Anfield, Diogo Jota is a “doubt” for this match. Jurgen Klopp has confirmed that Jota is struggling and hasn’t trained but that he hopes he’s ready in time.
Liverpool injury news – Diogo Jota may miss Fulham clash
Fans will soon know whether Jota has recovered from this knock in time since team news will drop in around two hours. If Jota is fit, then he’ll more than likely start given his immense form as of late.
Against Spurs in the last round of the Premier League, Jota came off the bench to score a dramatic last-minute winner. The goal fantastically counteracted Richarlison’s first league goal for Spurs and claimed all three points for Jurgen Klopp’s reds. Although, there was some controversy involving whether he should’ve even been on the pitch to come up with the big moment, following a high boot on Skipp.
Jota may have struggled in the first half of the season but he’s in inspired form and one of the players Liverpool have to thank for their near-perfect form. In the last five games, the Reds have won four games and drawn just one (we all remember which game that was).
The Reds are mounting a late challenge for the Champions League. It might seem out of their reach but it’s definitely possible. To do so, though, Liverpool must rely on their best players being fit.
While slight knocks in attack aren’t the end of the world given Klopp’s thankful depth, they’d like their team to be as strong as possible. Playing consistently well in recent games, it’s unfortunate for fans to hear that Jota may be the difference between the two sides if he’s sidelined.
