Chelsea transfer news – Mauricio Pochettino approves double swap deal for Andre Onana

According to the latest report from Football London, Mauricio Pochettino has had his first involvement in a Stamford Bridge deal. He really wants to sign Andre Onana from Inter Milan, with the Italian club happy to listen to reasonable offers.

The report claims that Chelsea would like to bring the financial valuation down and offload some of their own deadwood players. It’s thought that Trevoh Chalobah and Ruben Loftus-Cheek could be used as makeweights, which would help Chelsea in reducing their wage bill and offloading some of their heavy squad.

Chelsea transfer news – The Blues join the race to sign Neymar

According to a report from Football Insider, Chelsea are monitoring the situation of Neymar. Paris Saint-Germain are willing to part ways with their superstar for a reasonable value – which for Neymar, will be sky-high. There are, of course, financial powerhouses in competition.

Chelsea transfer news – Pochettino suits Romelu Lukaku

Football Fancast have expertly pointed out that Romelu Lukaku could be given a new lease of life under Mauricio Pochettino, should he finalise the deal as Chelsea manager. Usually adopting a 4-3-3 formation, this would benefit Lukaku since he’d receive plenty of creativity from midfield and the flanks and it’s a formation he’s flourished in before.

Currently on loan at Inter Milan, Pochettino will have a big call to make whether to use him in the first team or to send him out on another loan or sell him. Should the desired move for Harry Kane fall through, then Lukaku is the perfect backup option and Chelsea won’t need to look externally to sign another striker.
