With Mauricio Pochettino’s arrival at Chelsea seemingly imminent, players are already thinking what the repercussions of his arrival could mean. He’s already named a few players which he wishes to sign (more on that here), which leaves many of the players on the cusp of first-team football wondering whether their long-term futures are safe at the club.

According to 90min, Callum Hudson-Odoi who is currently out on loan in Germany, wants to meet with Mauricio Pochettino to discuss his future. Although, it’s thought to be good news since the 22-year-old thinks he can turn his career around under Poch.

This is what fans are looking forward to the most. Unfortunately in recent seasons under their countless managers, the Stamford Bridge outlet has completely neglected the promotion of youth players, which leaves youngsters like Hudson-Odoi with no real direction.

Underperforming for Bayer Leverkusen, it’s said that the English youngster needs a great coach to come in and lead him to regenerate the previous hype he had surrounding his name. In pre-covid times, many Chelsea fans would look at Hudson-Odoi and hoped he would take the same direction that Bukayo Saka, Marcus Rashford and the likes have taken. How wrong they were.

Mauricio Pochettino has worked with a plethora of young players to turn them into stars. Look at Harry Kane for example, the striker is now considered world-class and he has the early coaching style of Pochettino to thank for that. Dele Alli is another example, but due to his reckless personality he hasn’t followed the same path as Kane since parting ways with Poch.

Nothing is set in stone, yet. However, given the countless times he pops up in Chelsea media reports, it seems pretty much confirmed that Poch will be the new manager at Stamford Bridge. I guess we’ll see soon.
