If Arsenal are to beat Manchester City in the Premier League tomorrow evening to keep their title hopes alive, then they’ll need to put in a good team performance. Here are three players in the starting eleven who I think will be key to beating the current league champions.

For Arsenal’s predicted lineup, click here.

1. Arsenal’s defensive powerhouse Gabriel Magalhaes

Given the injury to William Saliba, the spotlights will be on his defensive partner Gabriel Magalhaes. The Brazil international will likely partner Rob Holding in the heart of defence.

Arsenal fans aren’t too confident about starting Rob Holding in a game like this and understandably so. However, the good form of Gabriel shouldn’t be overlooked. Granted, the Gunners have conceded more goals than they would’ve liked over the last three games but Gabriel has been their diamond in the rough in that defence. He’ll be hyped for his most important match of the season.

2. Midfield general Thomas Partey

Having missed this fixture in the Premier League last time through injury, Thomas Partey’s importance to the team was demonstrated. He hasn’t been in the best form recently but you can often rely on the Ghana international to pull it out of the bag on a big occasion.

The midfield battle will be key to this game, with both teams boasting some world-class talent. Since Partey’s job will be to keep De Bruyne at bay, he’ll need to be on TOP form.

3. Former Manchester City man Gabriel Jesus

The third player who Arsenal will rely upon is the avid goal scorer in recent matches, Gabriel Jesus. Since his return from injury, the Brazil international has been doing what he often does best and that is getting into goal scoring positions.

Manchester City players and Pep Guardiola know exactly what he’s capable of offering so I’m sure they will have devised a plan together on how to best deal with his potency. But from an Arsenal perspective, they’ll look to exploit his unpredictability.
