Much of the summer transfer window for West Ham United will revolve around the future of Declan Rice. Of course, the Hammers want to keep him, however David Moyes may have to accept fate. He’s outgrown the club and with huge rivals Arsenal and Chelsea looming, it doesn’t look positive for the West Ham faithful.
Moyes’ side are currently battling relegation. Whether or not they remain in the Premier League next season is something which definitely have an impact on their transfer window. Despite relegation being familiar to the club, it’s unfamiliar to a lot of current players, so it’ll have a hefty psychological impact.
According to the latest report from Sport Witness, it’s not just Rice who Moyes must worry about losing. Indeed, Gianluca Scamacca could also be on his way out of the club, with Juventus proving eager to sign the centre forward.
Signing for the club last summer, West Ham United had higher hopes for Scamacca than what he has provided, it has to be said. Scamacca has provided an average goal return, but nowhere near the levels he shown last season which prompted the Hammers to sign him.
Admittedly, he’s not been given too much game time. Many will argue that a consistent run of minutes in the first team would be enough to propel him to the right playing level, but he hasn’t warranted game time.
David Moyes is a fan of Scamacca, though. The Scotsman remains optimistic that Scamacca will return to form for the club, stating that they need him to return to great form. Moyes knows how great a player he is but with Juventus knocking on the door, it might prove difficult for West Ham to keep him under their ranks.
Do you think Gianluca Scamacca will still play for West Ham next season?
