It was reported earlier that Chelsea had issued a two-match deadline to Graham Potter. They will wait until after the upcoming matches against Leeds United to decide whether or not he’s sacked.

The likelihood is, he will be sacked. Potter has lost the confidence of the fans, players and board. Although it’s a structural issue, the board don’t see it like this, hence the ultimatum they’ve issued.

The coming days will involve the Chelsea board seeking a replacement. We know how much Todd Boehly likes being swayed by the media, so here’s a list of potential managerial replacements at Stamford Bridge.

Who will replace Graham Potter at Chelsea?

The first manager I’m going to put forward is the most obvious choice, Zinedine Zidane. The French legend has been out of the game since he left Real Madrid two years ago.

Zidane’s managerial career, despite it being short-lived, has been a successful one. He’s won the Champions League three times as a manager, so he knows what it takes to build a winning mentality within a club.

Zidane has worked with a plethora of world-class talents, including Cristiano Ronaldo and Luka Modric. Therefore, the severe number of personalities at Stamford Bridge won’t fluster him. He’s my number one pick, as it’s this level of expertise which Chelsea needs to succeed going forward.
