Arsenal face a trip to the King Power Stadium on Saturday to face Leicester City in the Premier League. Facing Leicester is never easy, but as the Gunners continue their title race there’s never been a better time to face the Foxes, who currently sit 14th in the table.

Mikel Arteta will rear his men up to face any side, but he could be helped by recent Leicester injury news. According to the FPL Scout on Twitter, James Maddison’s involvement in the game is still under question. He will be assessed ahead of the game after picking up a knee injury.

This is a big, big boost for Arsenal. While Leicester could survive without James Maddison, he is their main source of creativity. Arsenal’s downfalls this season have been when midfields are packed tight and teams play intricate balls in the centre of the park – this is exactly what Maddison would’ve provided.

If Thomas Partey is free, he’ll slot straight back into the midfield slot and likely take the game by the scruff of the neck. Without Maddison, Leicester have little chance of playing through this area of the pitch.

Both teams go into this match with the same record – two wins, two losses and one draw from the last five league matches. On form, then, this game proves to be an even match. However, I expect Arsenal to come away with a comfortable win, despite playing away from home.

Of course, The Top Flight will provide updates to James Maddison’s injury when the assessment has taken place. His comeback will be wished for by the King Power faithful as if the Foxes do stand a chance against the league leaders, it’ll be because of James Maddison.
