Every game feels all the more important in a title race. This one is no different, as Arsenal travel to the King Power Stadium to face Leicester City. With the game less than 48 hours away, there’s a race against time for the players fighting injuries.

According to Football London, Bukayo Saka has been spotted in training, so his place is essentially guaranteed, after concern of a planned day off on Monday. However, it’s not looking good for Thomas Partey, who missed training.

The reports state that the Gunners are hoping for a ‘miracle’ as Partey faces a race for full fitness ahead of the game. It’s one of those decisions which Mikel Arteta might have to make last minute but considering he’s missed training, the best Partey will likely get is a start on the bench.

Thomas Partey has been the most important player for Arsenal this season and they’ve felt the wrath of missing him from the starting eleven. However, Arteta is inspired after Jorginho forced a late win for the Gunners against Aston Villa last time out.

Jorginho and Granit Xhaka are forming a bond in the absence of Thomas Partey so if the Ghana international is missing again, then the midfield is in safe hands at least. The injury which was sustained just hours before the Manchester City game was only thought to be a short one, however, Partey hasn’t recovered as quickly as he would’ve liked.

Further injury news will come in due time, as we hope Partey recovers well. As for further injury news ahead of the important fixture, see below. This game kicks off at 3pm GMT on Saturday afternoon, with both sides hoping for a win for different reasons. It’ll be a highly-fought contest.
