A fantastic statistic reveals just how important Bukayo Saka’s goals have been to Arsenal this season…
Bukayo Saka is having a terrific season for Arsenal. Transfermarkt states that he’s started every single Premier League game this season, returning an impressive 9 goals and 8 assists. This brings his season total to 10 goals and 8 assists, as he also scored in the Europa League.
The truth is, Arsenal’s starboy just keeps getting better. After a relatively slow start to the season, Saka is approaching double figures in both goals and assists, something which is only achieved by complete attackers who are up there with the world’s best.
Competing among the world’s best attackers is exactly what Mikel Arteta wants Saka to be doing. This is why he’s starting the Englishman in every single match, to show him that killers don’t need rest. After taking on some advice from Thierry Henry recently, it’s scary to predict Bukayo Saka’s goal return for the final half of this season.
Not only has he scored a plethora of goals this season, but every single one of his goals has either been an equalising goal, or the goal to put Arsenal ahead in the match. That’s according to Twitter user and stat-man Tom Ede…
It’s true that Arsenal have benefitted from Bukayo Saka’s goal importance this season. Just taking a look at the last match against Aston Villa, it was a stunning finish to bring the scoreline level, and he did the same from the spot in the previous match against Manchester City.
