Chelsea are having the worst season they’ve had in a long time. They cannot seem to string together a consistent run of wins, despite being the highest spenders in Europe by a country mile. After their 1-0 loss to bottom of the table Southampton, Chelsea are 10th in the league.

They wouldn’t even be 10th if their London rivals Arsenal, who are top of the league, didn’t beat Aston Villa. Those are the levels that Chelsea fans are witnessing right now – being thankful that their main rivals won so they didn’t slip into the bottom half of the table.

And although they have a team full of individuals who won’t gel together, fans seem to think the manager is entirely to blame. So much so, that the hashtag #PotterOut is trending on Twitter. In all honesty, I’m surprised Chelsea haven’t sacked Potter already. If they were still under Abramovich, he would have been sacked after the first goal conceded.

It shows how time changes, and Chelsea is seen as a business nowadays as opposed to a football club who strives for success. It’s sad to see, the fans deserve much better than this. Surely now it’s only a matter of time before Potter is sacked.

Let’s see what the fans have to say on Twitter…

#PotterOut trends on Twitter – Chelsea fans want Graham Potter sacked

It looks unlikely that Chelsea will change their performances under Graham Potter.

Even before the game finished, this Chelsea fan wanted Potter sacked.

I haven’t seen a reasonable argument why Potter should stay.

I mean, when you put it like that…
