According to the latest report from El Nacional, Real Madrid have made their first efforts to contact Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp about managing them. The club in the football capital seeks to replace Carlo Ancelotti and, according to the Catalan outlet, Klopp wants the move to happen.

Klopp has enjoyed many successful years at Liverpool and it’s severely overlooked how much he has turned the club around. Promoting a healthy relationship with spending and promoting players from nothing to something, his legacy at Liverpool will live on.

However, you cannot blame him for wanting to make the move away at this point in his career. Liverpool appear to be in the mud, currently sitting 10th in the table and only picking up 4 points in their last 5 games. They come up against a new-look Everton side tomorrow, which could be the match that either makes it or breaks it for Klopp.

Unfortunately, Klopp is a great captain of a sinking ship. His time at Liverpool may be up, especially if he doesn’t win any trophies at the club this season.

Real Madrid, on the other hand, are doing fairly well. They are frustrated to be second in LaLiga behind Barcelona. However, this is more down to their high standards than it is the performances of the players and manager. Still, Florentino Perez runs his club very harshly but it pays off – Ancelotti could be disposed of in favour of Klopp.

As far as Klopp is concerned, this is an excellent opportunity for him. He is used to managing clubs who compete for domestic success in a two-horse race. Not to be disrespectful to LaLiga of course, but this is what it is. Klopp played a similar role when he managed Dortmund and is now managing Liverpool, although this season is an anomaly.
