Chelsea fans were not impressed with the result against London rivals West Ham United today. Granted, they performed well and dominated through most of the match but Graham Potter’s men did not play as a collective, meaning they dropped another two points as their season worsens.
It’s even more frustrating for Graham Potter because in his starting lineup, 5 January signings were featured. Mykhaylo Mudryk, Joao Felix, Enzo Fernandez, Noni Madueke and Benoit Badiashile all got the nod. Of those 5 players, only Felix and Enzo really looked worthy.
Come on Chelsea! 💪

The game finished 1-1. Chelsea had some goals ruled out for offside so you could say luck wasn’t theirs today, however, the Hammers also had a goal ruled out late on. Either way you look at it, the Blues didn’t do enough and every player, besides perhaps Felix, should hang their head in shame. It doesn’t seem to be getting better.
And to rub salt into Chelsea’s very rich wounds, a former player of theirs has made all the headlines in the afternoon kick-offs. Yep, Willian has scored a screamer in the first half to give Fulham the lead over Nottingham Forest.
Willian left Stamford Bridge to join Arsenal and while his time didn’t work out at the Emirates Stadium, you can look at how he’s performing at Craven Cottage and point fingers at Chelsea. Did they make the wrong decision to sell him?
Much better than some of what Chelsea have just paid through the nose for. Shame it didn’t work out. https://t.co/0eqr3znMLA

This Twitter user certainly thinks so. I’m sure that Chelsea’s January signings will come through eventually and fans will say its unfair to criticise them. However, it’s absolutely fair when Boehly is paying that kind of money for them.
Still, I guess eventually they’ll suffer the same fate as Manchester City. Only this time, it doesn’t seem like the players are worth breaching rules for.
And that’s how it finishes.

Shame for Chelsea, but a lesson to be learnt. If a player has a good FIFA card, that doesn’t always mean they’re good for your team.
Props to Felix though, best player on the pitch by a mile. https://t.co/LftoFb5SiK
Do you think Chelsea needed to pay all that money for these signings?
