A significant boost in the recent Arsenal injury news ahead of Brentford fixture.
For once in their history, Arsenal have a solid group of players, most of whom are disciplined and fit enough to go long-spells without being injured. It’s a breath of fresh air from their Jack Wilshere days. However, the latest Arsenal injury news is surrounding a player which doesn’t fit that quota.
The Gunners host Brentford tomorrow afternoon in the Premier League. They need a win after losing to Everton last time out. We have predicted two changes to the lineup – however, the following news might bring about one more change.
Arsenal injury news – Emile Smith Rowe back in training
According to the latest from Football London, Mikel Arteta has provided a positive spin on Emile Smith Rowe’s return, claiming he is “closer”. The Englishman is back training with the first-team. However, in response to his availability for the Brentford game tomorrow, Arteta has said “Not for this game”
Emile Smith Rowe had only just returned from a long injury after the World Cup break. However, just a few appearances after his return, he was on the treatment table again. His career so far has been halted by injuries and frankly, he could’ve made more significant progress in his development had he not been so injury-prone until now.
Still, Smith Rowe is a great player. His direct dribbling approach makes him a real pleasure to watch and last season especially, he was one of Arsenal’s best players. He is key to progressive play from the midfield as this seems to be his best position. Although he has been unlucky with injuries, Arsenal fans should hope for a more efficient recovery, so not to rush him back into action.
