Arsenal fans are all saying the same thing about Mikel Arteta’s decision against Everton…
Arsenal have just faced their second league defeat of the season, so obviously fans are very vocal right now. Losing to Everton is not a good look for a team who is supposed to challenge for the title, but I’m sure they will bounce back next week.
As for the Arsenal discourse right now, though. the mood is negative. Just looking on social media will tell you everything fans are thinking. But one discussion point seems to be the most prominent.

It was Jorginho’s debut, as he was brought on in the second half for Thomas Partey. This is what confused fans the most. It was initially thought that Jorginho would be bought from Chelsea to cover when needed, but today, it was not needed.
This Twitter user asked the question every fan was thinking – Is Mikel Arteta okay? It was certainly a strange choice to bring on Jorginho. I thought he didn’t play too bad when he came on, but he certainly didn’t give Arsenal what they needed to win the match.
Everton were very strong and in Arsenal’s face from a midfield perspective. Therefore, to bring off Partey for a creative player who does not get stuck in is nonsensical.
Partey has what it takes to win Arsenal the game, according to this Twitter user.
Thomas Partey will rightfully feel hard done by. Jorginho’s debut had to come at some point, and I don’t think he did anything wrong. However, he was not needed in this match. Partey was.
What did you make of Arsenal’s performance and Jorginho being given a debut?
