Fresh off making it to the EFL Cup Final, Manchester United will now face off against Crystal Palace in the Premier League.

Manchester United has now had 3 straight games outside of the Premier League and has managed to win each one. This assures they are still in every available competition that is on offer to them, something no other Premier League team can lay claim to. So, with the focus now back on the league, what should their lineup look like?

(4-2-3-1)

GK: David De Gea

De Gea was on the bench for Manchester United’s latest game, as they beat Nottingham Forest 2-0 (5-0 on aggregate) to reach the EFL Cup Final, where they will play Newcastle United. Now, with the league back in the frame, and 3rd place calling their name, De Gea should be the man back in between the sticks for United.

RB: Aaron Wan-Bissaka

Diogo Dalot is still recovering from an injury and was not available for selection against Nottingham Forest. It would be a quick turnaround for Ten Hag to put the Portuguese defender right back into the fray. Therefore, Wan-Bissaka kicks on in this right-back slot for Manchester United.

CB: Raphael Varane

As Varane was substituted off in the 80′ minute of their latest cup tie, Maguire came on and Varane got to enjoy the remainder of the victory from the bench. I imagine he won’t have that same luxury against Palace, as he is an integral part of an improving defense for Erik Ten Hag.

CB: Lisandro Martinez

At this point, the pairing at center back picks itself unless injuries are an issue. Martinez has been outstanding for Manchester United in defense, and will be counted on once again to try and keep out Wilfried Zaha, Eberechi Eze, and will look to avoid any last-minute goals from Michael Olise.

LB: Luke Shaw

This could easily be Malacia in at left-back, but I believe Ten Hag will give the nod once again to experience from Luke Shaw. Against Palace last time out, Shaw had a respectable game but will look to improve on his passing accuracy from that match.
