Erling Haaland has easily been the best signing of the season so far. He is scoring goals for Manchester City at a rate the Premier League has never seen before, and will never see again. He is pretty much confirmed to win the golden boot this season, but he’s also likely to smash the record of goals scored in a single season.

The world knows about his goal scoring ability, as he scored an abundance for RB Salzburg and Borussia Dortmund before moving to England. So, many would think the Norwegian striker is happy in Manchester, but his agent has made a strange comment regarding this.

According to AS, Erling Haaland’s agent has made it clear that she is open to making a move happen in the future, after refusing to comment on any clause in his Man City contract. She says that Haaland is happy at City today, but tomorrow she may need to push for a move away for her client, which she is sure can happen in a heartbeat given her experience with players. Furthermore, she joked that she could not possibly say no if Barcelona came knocking for Haaland.

It’s quite a weird thing to say and if I were a Manchester City fan, I would not want an agent like that around the club. However, this is modern football – it’s cruel.

Manchester City find themselves in a title race with Arsenal. It’s a race they are currently losing, something which will frustrate Haaland. He signed under Pep Guardiola to win trophies, so if this isn’t accomplished, Haaland’s agent may have to step in sooner than City would like.
