Liverpool transfer news – Klopp interested in signing Elye Wahi

A name which has been making many headlines today is Elye Wahi. Now, according to Foot Mercato, Liverpool have entered the race to sign the 20-year-old.

What is astonishing, and will come as great news to the Kop, is that Elye Wahi is the only player other than Kylian Mbappe in the last 40 years to reach 20 Ligue 1 goals before turning 20 years old.

The Top Flight reported earlier that Arsenal and Spurs were also interested in signing him, so Liverpool may feel the need to be efficient with this business.

Liverpool transfer news – Competition from Newcastle for Sander Berge

According to the Mirror, Newcastle have now joined Liverpool and Chelsea in the race to sign Sander Berge.

Berge has an astonishing midfield presence, he is tall and uses his physical presence well. Berge ages at just 24 years old and is entering the final stages of his Sheffield United contract, so the Blades may feel inclined to sell him this January, before his price drops.

Liverpool transfer news – Reds to pay Ousmane Dembele’s release clause

According to Calcio Mercato, Liverpool are considering paying Ousmane Dembele’s release clause, which is rumoured to be around £44m.

There are complications to the deal, though. Ousmane Dembele is currently injured, and sidelined for the next month. Furthermore, with FSG selling the club, questions are being asked whether they would be willing to splash out £44m on a release clause. Still, the deal has potential.
