Brentford (Premier League Position: 8th – Half Term Grade: B-)

Overall, I think Brentford will be delighted with the first half of the season, taking big scalps with victories over the two Manchester clubs and Liverpool which is no small feat which has aided their comfortable top half position. Couple worrying things on the horizon though, as Ivan Toney’s betting charges still to be determined and with their great start to the season Brentford manager Thomas Frank has been touted as potentially the successor at Everton. All in all, I envisage them having a solid second season in the premier league but I think European places will end up being just out of reach.

(Predicted Final League Position: 11th)

Brighton & Hove Albion (Premier League Position: 6th – Half Term grade: B)

Unlike other clubs I have mentioned, Brighton had their manager courted by Chelsea and eventually Graham Potter decided to take that step up. Brighton have since replaced him with Roberto Di Zerbi and haven’t missed a beat. Despite losing Bissouma and Trossard more recently they continue to invest well in the likes of Mitoma and Caicedo and Di Zerbi promoting from inside with the emergence of Evan Ferguson.

It looks like a really good blend they have other there and they are a really good footballing side. Their in with a slim chance of finishing in the European places and if they can get into the Uefa Conference League I think that will constitute a very successful season.

(Predicted Final League Position:8th)

Chelsea (Premier League Position: 10th- Half Term grade: D)

What a turbulent season for Chelsea it’s been so far, change of ownership and a change of manager which has come with excitement and confusion for the Chelsea faithful. Graham Potter seems to be Todd Boehly’s man but results on the pitch have left a lot to be desired although patience has been urged. These bad results have left them in the unfamiliar position of mid table with no chance of winning the title and an outside chance of getting into the top four(currently 10 points off 4th). The exciting news is that Todd Boehly seems to be signing every man and his dog throughout Europe to long term deals, and that’s just this January! He also had a huge outlay in the summer which has lead Potter no closer to knowing his best line up although he now has an array of talent at his disposal with the likes of Joao Felix, Raheem Sterling and Mykhailo Mudryk, the latter of which had a very interesting debut at Liverpool last week but looks to be one of the players who will have the X factor at Chelsea.

 (Predicted Final League Position: 7th)
