Aleksandar Mitrovic suffered an unfortunate injury late on in FPL Gameweek 21.
Fulham have a relatively easy upcoming fixture list. In FPL Gameweek 22, they come up against Chelsea, then it’s Nottingham Forest, Brighton, Wolves and then Brentford, it would appear that only Brighton pose them a real threat. From an FPL perspective, every one of these fixtures is the perfect opportunity for Aleksandar Mitrovic to get on the score sheet
In Gameweek 22, it’s Chelsea vs Fulham. While a trip to Stamford Bridge is never easy, it’s one that Aleksandar Mitrovic would be up for, given the Blues’ poor form this season.
Unfortunately, though, it is doubtful that Mitrovic will start or even play in this match. According to Fantasy Football Scout, Marco Silva has not yet given a solid yes or no, but it doesn’t look promising. 100,000 FPL managers have dropped Mitrovic since the injury occurred and if you haven’t yet, you probably should join that list.
Alternatives to Aleksandar Mitrovic in FPL Gameweek 22
Perhaps the main man that springs to mind is Eddie Nketiah (currently at £6.6m). The English forward is full of confidence after scoring a brace against Manchester United. He is the most likely Arsenal player to get a goal return given Gabriel Jesus’ injury – His next 5 fixtures being Everton, Brentford, Manchester City, Aston Villa and Leicester City.

The second alternative could be to look at Manchester United, who have a double FPL gameweek 22. FPL experts are consistently pointing to Marcus Rashford, who currently values at £7.1m, if you would like a more pricey but luxury FPL signing.
I have benched Mitrovic for the time being, and put out a midfield of 5 players, with the main man Erling Haaland leading the line. Chances are, you probably have Haaland leading the line, so with him, you’re in safe hands without Mitrovic.
