Arsenal might need to keep their transfer targets a secret, as Chelsea always seem to come creeping…

In today’s section of Arsenal transfer news – Chelsea are now ‘monitoring the situation’ of another Arsenal transfer target, the Gunners have made contact with their next potential signing and Mikel Arteta ‘insists’ on signing this Barcelona forward.

Let’s see what the headlines are saying…

Arsenal transfer news – Chelsea monitor Leandro Trossard

According to the latest news from Mirror, Chelsea are monitoring the situation of Brighton winger Leandro Trossard, who is thought to leave the club this January. The Top Flight reported two days ago that Trossard had been ‘offered to Arsenal’, however, given Chelsea’s business so far this month, I wouldn’t put it past Todd Boehly and co to hijack this move.

Arsenal transfer news – Contact made with Moussa Diaby

Sky Sports reported earlier that French winger Moussa Diaby was high on Arsenal’s radar. However, it’s thought Bayer Leverkusen don’t want to sell Diaby.

The Top Flight writer Evan Curnew explained how this deal could have been ideal for Arsenal, with the club seeking a replacement for Mykhaylo Mudryk. Time will tell whether the Gunners persist.

Arsenal transfer news – Mikel Arteta ‘insists’ on signing Raphinha

If you cast your minds back to the summer (I know, it’s gone quick, right?) – you will remember Arsenal came ever so close to signing Raphinha from Leeds United at the time. However, Barcelona ended up getting him.

According to Spanish publication Sport, Mikel Arteta is insistent on signing Raphinha ‘at all costs’. It is also thought Arsenal have already been in contact with Raphinha’s officials to get the deal started. This firepower in the transfer market is likely inspired by the Mudryk drama, with the Gunners now clear they must spend big money to get big returns.

Who would you like to see Arsenal sign next?
