This year in the Premier League we have seen some wonderful matches and masterclass performances by multiple players. However, there have been several players that have put on a show in nearly every game they have played in. Here are the three players that have been outstanding so far.
Erling Braut Haaland
No doubt that the 22 year-old would be on this list considering he has scored 21 goals in just 17 matches. Haaland best game this season would have to be the first match of two against rivals Manchester United, as he contributed three goals and two assists. His size and speed makes him dangerous in any area when it comes to attacking. Already being seen as one of the best players in the world, Pep Guardiola is creating a monster right in front of our eyes.
Martin Odegaard
The Arsenal captain has been in form all season long, helping the Gunners hold the top spot in the table. Odegaard has 13 goal contributions this year as well as five Man of the Match awards. With an average rating of 7.85, according to FotMob, Odegaard has been helped out with the likes of Bukayo Saka and Thomas Partey. However, it is safe to say the Gunners would not be in a comfortable position without their star captain.
Ivan Toney
Barring the betting scandals, the Brentford centre forward has been a huge contributor for the Bees. So far, Toney has bagged 13 goals and 3 assists, making him third in the league for goal contributions. Being only 26, you have to wonder if Toney is destined for a bigger club in the future. Brentford is a fine club and he has made a huge impact on helping them stay in the top, but Brentford cannot be the biggest club he can play for. This season’s performance should help the Englishman land somewhere else come this summer.
