Mykhaylo Mudryk has made his intentions clear – he wants to join Arsenal, not Chelsea.

Arsenal made no secret of their desire to sign Mykhaylo Mudryk and the desire is reciprocated from the Shakhtar Donetsk winger, who has routinely shared his love for Arsenal on social media. Complicating matters, though, are Chelsea, who have planned to raid the transfer and are meeting with Shakhtar officials over the coming days to decipher a transfer strategy.

However, this is to the dismay of Mykhaylo Mudryk. According to 90min, Mudryk knows about Chelsea’s interest but has remained clear in his stance – he has told Shakhtar that he wants to sign for Arsenal.

And it really does come as no surprise. The way that Arsenal are playing this season, they are favourites to win the Premier League trophy. On the other hand, Chelsea are lucky to be mid-table.

As a player who is looking for a move, you would favour Arsenal over Chelsea. The Gunners are on an upwards trajectory, whereas The Blues are on a downwards trajectory. Mikel Arteta can’t stop winning, whereas Graham Potter can’t start winning.

Mikel Arteta aims to build an attack. While his team look excellent in the final third, even without Gabriel Jesus, it’s depth that remains the problem. Mykhaylo Mudryk would be an excellent addition to the front three and in all honesty, the Gunners could have done with his electrifying wide-play against Newcastle as they struggled to breakthrough.

Those who have watched All or Nothing on Amazon Prime will know that Arsenal’s recruitment team works extremely hard. They are constantly analysing facts and figures and applying rationale to their approach. With Jesus and Zinchenko the stars of the summer transfer window, they would like to add a deeper level of creativity out wide with Mudryk.
