Manchester United will lock horns with Spurs in the January transfer window.

Having been let down twice already, it’s important that Manchester United bounce back strong and give the fans exactly what they want – new signings. Spurs will look to do the same thing, although Daniel Levy is known to be quite efficient in the transfer market so he’ll have things covered.

The difference in the two negotiation strategies will prove to be a mighty test. This is because according to Express, both Manchester United and Spurs are interested in signing Martin Terrier, the 25-year-old Rennes striker with 18 months on his contract.

Transfermarkt have valued Martin Terrier at around £31m, but both clubs will be eager to lower this price, particularly with his contract entering its final stages. He is certainly worth £31m but at around the £25m stage, this would be an exceptional bit of business.

Terrier is yet to receive a French international call-up but he has some serious competition in his position. France legend and a player United and Spurs fans know a bit too well, Thierry Henry, has endorsed Terrier already. Henry said in commentary that he likes Terrier a lot and even backed him to represent France, according to GFFN.

The Ligue 1 striker has scored eight goals already this season and provided three assists. He would make the perfect Cristiano Ronaldo replacement and he would be the ideal player to finally give Harry Kane some healthy competition.

At this point in time, you would have to favour Terrier to join Tottenham. United fans won’t like me saying this, but it’s true – Spurs are just the better and more attractive club for a player to sign for nowadays.
