Chelsea are making serious moves already for the January transfer window.

With the Premier League back in action and the January transfer window soon approaching, Chelsea are plotting their moves. Some serious improvements need to be made as they sit in 8th place of the English top flight currently.

It was a good result for the Blues yesterday as they beat Bournemouth but again, it was injuries which stole the spotlight over their impressive win.

According to a report from Record (via Zach Lowy on Twitter), Chelsea have been making moves in the transfer department. It is claimed they have submitted an astonishing £115m bid for Enzo Fernandez, with Benfica eager to keep their wonderkid.

Enzo Fernandez was part of a collective Argentine core which won the hearts of the world at the World Cup. Appearing in the first two games from the bench, a goal against Mexico won him a place in the starting XI in the final group stage game against Poland, where he provided an assist. He then went on to start every knockout game and impressed in the midfield, going on to lift the trophy.

But now, his price has skyrocketed. Having put in some exceptional displays in the Liga Portugal and the Champions League, it is no surprise to see superclubs such as Chelsea interested in signing him.

Whether or not the bid is accepted is a different story, it shows Chelsea’s intention. They are not to be messed with in this transfer window and Graham Potter sees it as his chance to finally fix the squad. It is also refreshing to see the club linked with a young player, as signing too many older players has been their downfall in recent seasons.
