Arsenal make incredible breakthrough for Mykhailo Mudryk

Arsenal are moving closer and closer to signing Mykhailo Mudryk.
With the January transfer window waiting to open, Arsenal have already begun making their moves. Chief transfer targets have been circulating in the media, but none more so than Mykhailo Mudryk.
The 21-year-old Shakhtar Donetsk winger has high on the radar for Mikel Arteta, who is aiming to strengthen his firepower in attack and add more depth if they are to keep up with league rivals Manchester City. For a manager of a team that currently sit top of the table and the best team in England so far this season, it is a frightening thought that he is still wanting more.
According to sports journalist Nicolo Schira, Arsenal have agreed a deal in principal with the player. Talks just need to finalise between clubs now but at this point, it is often the case that the club gets the player.
If this is to be believed, then it would be a stunning breakthrough for Arsenal. They are known admirers of Mudryk and Mikel Arteta has been wanting to sign him since summer. Even given the Gabriel Jesus injury, this has not swayed Arteta’s decision – he knows the player he wants and he will not give up until he is in the squad.
Arsenal’s recruitment team and its new setup is one of the best in the world. Edu and company are known to be hard workers and those who have watched All or Nothing on Amazon Prime will know that behind the scenes, the work which goes into recruitment of players at Arsenal is extensive and quite frankly remarkable.
Furthermore, this deal seems likely since Mikel Arteta has the trust of the board. The Arsenal board have received their critics but in recent seasons, they have been an incredible aid to the club. It helps that Arteta is building a positive project with fans and most importantly the players on his side.
Long story short – Mudryk is another building block to Arteta’s perfect castle. And it’s a castle which might take a while to build, but when it is built, will last a very long time.
