Tottenham Hotspur look to swoop in and sign a transfer target of their arch rivals Arsenal.

Tottenham Hotspur and Arsenal have had many fierce battles, but it’s the battles off the pitch which catch the most attention. As both clubs have the same aspirations, it is no surprise to see Spurs in the race for some of the same names.

According to Corriere dello Sport, Tottenham Hotspur are now the favourites to sign Adrien Rabiot in January. The 27-year-old is approaching the final months of his Juventus contract and not looking to extend.

Adrien Rabiot is a terrific player, one that operates as a box-to-box midfielder. He put in some inspired performances to help France reach the final of the World Cup. If it wasn’t for the heroics of Kylian Mbappe, people would be speaking more about Rabiot’s consistent performances. He is very much a player that goes under the radar but his work on and off the ball will benefit Spurs.

It’s thought that Tottenham will face competition from Arsenal but The Top Flight reported earlier they are now more interested in signing Alexis Mac Allister, who was a leading example in the Argentina side which beat Rabiot’s France in the World Cup final.

It comes as no surprise to see all the European giants lining up to sign Rabiot, but it is Conte’s side who are favourites to land the Frenchman. HITC reports that Juventus are only looking for around £12m for the soon-to-be out of contract player.

For this price, Rabiot would be the steal of the transfer window but it is business like this which Tottenham are renowned for, particularly under Daniel Levy who is a master in the transfer window. Sitting fourth in the table, the Spurs recruitment team are fighting hard to strengthen so they can secure Champions League football.
