Chelsea’s attack has been woeful this season. This could be rectified in January, according to reports.

Chelsea sit in 8th place of the Premier League table as they await their return to Premier League football next weekend. It doesn’t take a genius to come on here and say they need to be doing better.

Graham Potter is still getting to grips with his best lineup but there is one thing he does know – Chelsea’s attack is nowhere near good enough and he needs to improve in this position. Havertz, Sterling and Aubameyang are all good players in their own right but do they work well together? Absolutely not.

Atletico Madrid offer Chelsea the chance to sign Joao Felix

According to a report from Evening Standard, the Blues have been offered the chance to sign Joao Felix, who is reportedly looking for a new challenge and to leave the footballing capital this January. To me, this is an absolute no-brainer.

Not only is Joao Felix an absolute world-beater, but he can also play across a range of positions in the attack. This means that wherever Potter decides to fix most, Felix will slot right into the gap.

Chelsea certainly need to address their goal scoring return, which Felix can certainly contribute to. The Portugal forward, despite not being trusted enough this season, has proven throughout his career that he has the means to both score and create goals. Something which is certainly missing from the lacklustre Chelsea frontline at the moment.

Felix is hungry to achieve, after he was unfairly snubbed from the Atleti front-line. In his first game of the season, he provided a hat-trick of assists. If this isn’t enough to prove to Simeone that he is a worthy first-place attacker, then the London Blues will certainly benefit from his distrust.
