Manchester United may be forced unwillingly to sell Marcus Rashford.

Marcus Rashford first broke onto the scene at the start of 2016, scoring four goals in his first two Manchester United games against Midtjylland and Arsenal. He has gone on to have a great career at Old Trafford, winning every competition there is to win except the Premier League.

The Red Devils therefore have a very close connection to Rashford. He is a real fan favourite and having won the hearts of the nation with all his social work in England, he is a true gem. That’s not to mention his inspired form at the World Cup at the moment, as he is England’s top goal scorer with three goals.

But the truth of the matter is, his contract doesn’t last forever. With the club up for sale at the moment too, the future of the club is completely unknown, which won’t sit well with Rashford.

With only until the end of the season remaining on his contract, Rashford may be forced out of the club. According to The Mirror, his next potential destination is Real Madrid, as the footballing capital seek a successor for Karim Benzema.

Big boots to fill but Rashford is certainly capable of filling them. Admittedly, there have been times in Rashford’s career where he looked to be down and out but the one consistency is that he has always got up and tried his absolute best, which is currently personified in his form.

There are a lot of question marks surrounding Manchester United as a club right now, especially after Cristiano Ronaldo famously exposed them before making an exit. This hostility and confusion must first be addressed by the club before they negotiate a potential extension with Rashford.

Do you think Marcus Rashford will stay or go?
