Leicester City can be a very proud club as 7 of their players will represent their countries at the FIFA World Cup 2022.

Leicester City pride themselves with having some of the best talent in England. While things have not gone their way at the start of this Premier League campaign, the Foxes are hopeful of a bounce back after the World Cup break.

Here are seven players who can use this World Cup break as a real confidence booster…

Wout Faes, Timothy Castagne and Youri Tielemans (Belgium)

Castagne and Tielemans have been two of the Foxes’ best players this season and they will certainly play every match they are fit in this World Cup. Faes is not as accustomed to playing in the Belgium setup, but he will take great inspiration from his teammates.

James Maddison (England)

Thought to miss the first match against Iran due to an injury knock, Maddison will be determined to bounce back. Not many players are as passionate as him, and he has certainly been Leicester’s player of the season so far.

Danny Ward (Wales)

In the same group as Maddison and England, Ward will put all friendships to one side. He will represent the nation with plenty of passion.

Daniel Amartey (Ghana)

While he has not been a sure-starter, when he has played, Amartey has played well for Leicester. He is entering the prime stages of his career as a midfielder, so this World Cup appearance will be an important one for the Ghanaian.

Nampalys Mendy (Senegal)

Having played most of his football for Leicester from the bench this season, Mendy will hope to have more of an input with Senegal. The African nation have plenty more to play for, with their star player Mane injured.
