Liverpool have 7 Reds travelling to Qatar for this year’s FIFA World Cup 2022.

Liverpool have not had the best start to Premier League life this season. The Reds find themselves in sixth place of the table heading into the World Cup break. Good form before the break saw Klopp’s men rise the table, but he will be hopeful his players return back to Merseyside fully fit and full of confidence.

Here are the seven players to watch in Qatar if you are a Liverpool fan…

Alisson and Fabinho (Brazil)

The two Liverpool will make up the Brazilian core. Alisson is expected to play every game, with Fabinho potentially missing a few. Brazil are expected to go far in the competition as they are many people’s potential winners.

Trent Alexander-Arnold and Jordan Henderson (England)

It was no surprise to see Gareth Southgate announce these two Liverpool stars. Henderson is one of the more senior players so his experience is needed. Trent’s creativity on the flanks could be helpful for England, although he has been in bad form this season.

Ibrahima Konate (France)

France, again, are expected to go far in this competition. However, Konate will play sporadically, if at all.

Darwin Nunez (Uruguay)

Liverpool’s new signing will represent what is a strong Uruguay outfit. His country are underdogs in this competition and I expect them to make it quite far.

Virgil van Dijk (Netherlands)

Netherlands have gone under the radar in recent years, but they will be back to fight for what they believe is theirs. Van Dijk is a sure starter and will play every game for the Dutch outfit, providing he is fit. Being the physical player he is, Klopp’s only concern is that he stays fit for the second half of the season.
