Fulham have 6 of their star players jetting off to Qatar for this year’s FIFA World Cup.

The World Cup is the biggest footballing stage of them all and representing your country is the proudest moment for any footballer. With that said, Fulham should be proud of the 6 players chosen from their ranks to inspire their nations.

The Cottagers have had a great start to Premier League life after being promoted from the Championship. Marco Silva’s men sit ninth in the league standings. They will be hoping to sneak further up the table in the second half of the season, as the busy fixture list hinders those above them more.

Here are the 6 Fulham players jetting off to the World Cup…

Harry Wilson and Daniel James (Wales)

Wales are in a difficult group consisting of USA, England and Iran. However, it is one they can certainly qualify from if their star players are on good form. Harry Wilson and Daniel James will certainly get game time.

Tim Ream and Antonee Robinson (USA)

Friendships will be dropped while the ball is in play. Ream and Robinson will come up against Wilson and James in the group stage of the competition. USA is a nation which is passionate and wants their athletes to perform well, so Ream and Robinson will use the chants to their advantage.

Joao Palhinha (Portgual)

Palhinha plays consecutive games for Fulham, but he is not so accustomed to this for Portugal as he plays more sporadically for his country. Still, he would have been delighted to get the call-up and in Ronaldo’s last international competition, Portugal will be inspired to go far in the tournament.

Aleksandar Mitrovic (Serbia)

When he is fit, Mitrovic will play. Mitro is the main man for both club and country and he will hope to win the hearts of the globe by putting in a great goal-scoring shift for Serbia, who are underdogs going into this competition.
