The 80.6% of FPL managers who stuck by Erling Haaland will hope to soon be rewarded…

With the World Cup coming up, many FPL managers are using the transfer strategy of banking transfers. This is risky when it comes to the likes of Erling Haaland picking up injuries. It is very much a long-term strategy as the managers who use this will have more free transfers after the influential World Cup.

Last week out, Erling Haaland did not play or even feature for City in the Premier League. According to the official Manchester City website, it will be the same case scenario in Manchester City’s midweek game against Sevilla.

But, this is a good thing for the FPL managers that still own the Norwegian talisman, in my opinion. If he is rested in the Champions League, then this more than likely means he will return in the Premier League.

Pep Guardiola has claimed that “Everyday is feeling better… Hopefully he will be back for Fulham”.

One thing is for sure. Whenever Haaland does return, even if he features from the bench, the City striker will be hungry to get on the score sheet.

He has been an absolute monster in the Premier League this season and is the league’s highest scoring player on FPL. For the 20% of managers that don’t own him, they are seriously lagging behind in the league standings.

Further good news for FPL managers, if Pep’s comments aren’t enough, FPL experts have claimed there is a 75% chance of Erling Haaland playing against Fulham.

I transferred the Norwegian out of my team last week in place of Callum Wilson and I’m glad that I did. However, I am contemplating bringing him back into my team. I guess I will wait until Pep comments further on his injury status, although it doesn’t help that the City boss doesn’t like to give much away in his press conferences.

How will you approach the Erling Haaland situation now?
