LWB: Ben Chilwell

Chilwell was an unused substitute in the midweek game at Salzburg. Therefore, he will be the freshest option to fulfil the wing-back role if Potter uses a back-three. He is not everyone’s cup of tea but he gets the job done, and he will certainly be a good asset to pressurise the Brighton full-backs.

CM: Mateo Kovacic

Scoring in the Champions League game, Kovacic will be full of confidence as he comes up against Brighton. This one’s a no-brainer for me.

CM: Ruben Loftus-Cheek

This is where rotation comes into play. Jorginho is in good form at the moment and he is the man to rely on when it comes to tense penalty moments. However, there is no way of beating the busy schedule and Loftus-Cheek is a phenomenal back-up option, he will fill the midfield spot in this match.

CAM: Conor Gallagher

The Englishman is not in the lineup each week but while he is playing well, it makes sense for Potter to play him. While he didn’t get a goal contribution against Salzburg in midweek, the midfielder put in a blinder performance and was a key reason why the Blues picked up all three points. He will probably be subbed off in the second off but for me, he has to start.

RWB: Christian Pulisic

The American Dream. Pulisic played 75 minutes in this position against Salzburg and picked up an important assist. I think he will get the nod against Brighton at the weekend.
