4. Gabriel Magalhaes

This is where I begin to divide opinion. William Saliba has been terrific, granted, but here I am going to discuss Gabriel Magalhaes.

Gabriel has been an absolute revelation this season. The impact he has had on Arsenal’s defence goes overlooked because of Saliba’s performances. This is understandable, given the hype around Saliba but let’s not forget that Gabriel has been just as great an asset to the side.

Gabriel is still just 24 years old and he is blossoming into a terrific player for the Gunners. His ability to play out from the back has been a key feature to the build up play system Arsenal have going on.

More importantly, he has been a brick at the back. The goals that Arsenal have conceded have been a result of individual errors, as opposed to being broken down. Take the North London derby for example; Spurs are famously incredible in their attack, they are fast-paced and efficient, but their only goal was the result of a penalty.

Must Read. Emile Smith Rowe is a massive blow for Arsenal. light

Long story short, Gabriel and Saliba are a terrific pairing for Arsenal, and the reason why opposing teams aren’t left with a sniff at goal.

3. Gabriel Martinelli

Completing the Gabriel’s in this list is Gabriel Martinelli. The third Arsenal Brazilian has been, unsurprisingly, excellent at the start of this season.

Having been involved in six goals (4G, 2A), it’s hard to imagine an Arsenal frontline without him. The tricky winger has been tremendous with the ball at his feet. His energy when in one-on-one situations with opposing defenders has helped the Gunners to create chances out of seemingly nothing.

Particularly in the earlier stages of the season, he formed a great partnership with his countryman Jesus. Ageing at only 21 years old, it is safe to say that Martinelli has settled into the Arsenal jersey well. If he can go the remainder of this season injury free, then he will be one of the reasons the Gunners are successful.

The next on this list may come as a surprise…
